Biography:
Manuel held numerous positions at the Santa Barbara studio. He began as one of the cowboys, either traveling up from La Mesa with the western company or joining the Flying A soon after their arrival in Santa Barbara.
He also served for a time as one of the studio drivers and held a union electricians card in 1919. It has not been determined if this was while he still worked for American. He also acted in support on one and two reelers and at least one feature, "The Frame Up."
