Biography:

Estelle Allen was born in Portland, Oregon on January 5, 1895 beginning in theater at a very young age. Her first serious production was “Little Lord Fauntleroy” at the age of seven in Brooklyn, New York. In 1909, she started motion picture work with the Edison Film Company and worked with numerous companies including Vitagraph, Ince, Edison, Paramount, Oliver Morosco, Kay Bee, Broncho, Domino and American’s Beauty brand. During her time with American, she repeatedly worked with stars such as Frank Borzage, Alfred Vosburgh, Lucille Ward, and Rosemary McMackin. Estelle made films with major production companies up until 1922.
