Biography:
Mr. DiAlfonse lived at 1114 Rancheria Street while working for the studio. This is the name given in the 1918-19 Santa Barbara Directory. However this appears to be the notable Santa Barbara contractor responsible for many of the town's later buildings. The confusion comes from a change of name.
According to a News-Press article dated 1-16-1991 Alex came to town in 1914 and went directly to work for American. The name in the article is Alex D'Alfonso but it certainly appears to be the same person.
