Biography:
Mr. Rick moved to Santa Barbara in 1912 and worked in a photography store before being hired by the studio. It appears he worked as both a cinematographer and a still photographer, also running the photo lab. He began his own photo lab in 1915 and may have run it on the side, holding a contract with the Flying A to produce prints for fans. It's highly likely that he printed the majority of 8x10 publicity stills of Mary Miles Minter.
