Well managed drama of criminal life, quite free from any suspicion of tedium, and showing a contrast between two ex-convicts, one old and the other a younger man. The latter succeeds in life, while the former drifts back into crime, but finds remorse when he realizes that his daughter's happiness is at stake. A play with a tragic, yet not unpleasing, finale. - Supplement to The Bioscope, Jan. 14, 1915, p. i.
