Story Summary: It deals with the case of a chicken stealing tramp, whom the daughter of the constable locks up, unassisted. She also starts a young fisherman, trespassing from the city, for the same destination, but changes her mind rather quickly. Her father, recovered from his illness, takes a dislike to the youth, so that the girl releases the tramp. The latter engages in a fight with the constable, and is winning, when the youth comes to the rescue, and thus wins the “old man’s” consent. -New York Dramatic Mirror, Febraury 24,1915 |
