Story Summary: Mr. E.Z. Smithers is very unhappily married. He asks his wife if she would get a divorce should he be sent to jail and she replies most emphatically that she would. He saunters down the street, gets into a scrap with a tough looking character and both are arrested. The other fellow proves to be a crook for whom a reward of $50 is offered. This is given to Smithers and he is released. After several futile attempts to get arrested he starts out to force himself in jail, but all in vain when he is put in a cell over night he receives a consoling note from his wife to the effects that his beloved mother-in-law will spend six months at his home. - Moving Picture World, November 1913 |
