Story Summary:
John is of a jealous nature. One day he finds the neighboring Mexican half-breed, who is very fond of their child, talking to his wife and child and becomes very angry. He sends the Mexican away and warns his wife to have nothing further to do with the half-breed. A few days later John goes on a prospecting trip. His baby is taken very sick and dies. The shock turns the mother's mind and she leaves the baby in a box at the Mexican's cottage. She then wanders away to a camp where, after fondling the camper's baby, her senses return and she remembers that she left the baby at the Mexican's hut. She arrives there just in time to prevent her husband, who had returned home and intuitively went to the home of the Mexican to learn about the whereabouts of his missing wife, from doing bodily harm to the Mexican. Her explanation straightens the matter out and the husband and the Mexican become friendly with each other over the grave of the child. - Moving Picture World, August 1913
