Harry Fenton, a Wall Street broker on the verge of bankruptcy, uses his fiancée, Emily Heath, to obtain a loan from wealthy young businessman Stephen Strange. Gaining Stephen's confidence, Emily is offered a check if she will break her engagement to Fenton. Following an automobile accident in which Stephen is rendered unconscious, she appropriates the check, but repudiating Fenton and his scheming she discovers a true affection for Stephen.
Although produced in 1919 this film was not released until 1921.
