Story Summary: “The hero is a young lawyer, Jim Rodgers, in love with a girl named Helen. He goes to the city and she promises to wait for him. But she falls in love with another and marries him. Five years later Jim is a judge and the husband is tried before him for murder. He sentences him to twenty years in prison for manslaughter.
