Story Summary:
When Immediate Lee, a cowboy who draws his name from his own quick draw with a gun, decides to go after some cattle rustlers, he discovers that Kentuck Hurley is one of the leaders of the gang. To antagonize Kentuck, Immediate wins Beulah, his dance hall girl sweetheart, away from him, after which Kentuck tracks Immediate down and disfigures him. Beulah nurses him back to health and, during his convalescence, Immediate comes to love her. After recovering, he relentlessly pursues Kentuck, who eventually is killed in a battle between the rustlers and Immediate's men. Then, after converting the dance hall into a church for one day only, Immediate marries Beulah.
Unique Occurences
A critic's comment: "One very unpleasant incident that would have been better to have been omitted is the slashing open both sides of Immediate Lee's mouth with a knife." - Moving Picture World, November 25, 1916
