Story Summary:
Winnie Greenwood (Betty) wants to become a writer. Ed Coxen (Jim) plays the part of a man who falls and hits his head while out fishing and loses his memory. Charlotte Burton plays Jim’s wife. Although it’s not an action piece there are few dialog titles yet the story can be followed fairly easily. Unique ending where Coxen regains his memory, wife and family but Winnie loses out. This is followed by a title: “The world goes up and the world goes down, and the sunshine follows the rain, and yesterday’s fear and yesterday’s frown can never come over again.” But then comes a bittersweet ending shot of Winnie alone. - Dana Driskel
